Two groups have called for the immediate arrest of the Senator representing Anambra South constituency Andy Uba.
The groups - National Committee of Yoruba Youth (NCYY) and the Coalition of Civil Society Groups said the senator must be suspended and prosecuted following the certificate forgery allegation against him.
In a statement signed by the president NCYY Oladimeji Odeyemi, the groups called on the Nigerian police, the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offenses Commission (ICPC), Department of State Services (DSS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to immediately arrest Uba.
The Odeyemi said investigations carried out by the groups revealed that Uba extensively falsified his academic record from secondary school level to various unaccredited degrees.
The groups said it was constrained to make the demand due to the refusal of relevant agencies to investigate the matter and bring the senator to justice.

Odeyemi said: "We are also worried that the same Nigerian Senate, who immediately reacted and ordered investigation into similar allegation against Senator Dino Melaye recently, have found it very difficult, to investigate this very grievous allegation against Mr. Andy Uba."
He also said that all available evidence before the groups have shown that Uba formely known as Nnamdi Emmanuel Uba completed his secondary education at Union Secondary School, Awkunanaw, Enugu, in 1974.
"For his secondary school leaving certificate examination, we also discovered that Senator Andy Uba sat for nine subjects, passing just one (Chemistry) at credit level, according to its authentic results," Odeyemi said.
He said that despite the evidences available, Uba succeeded in "cooking" up diefferent confirmation results date dated November 13, 2013.

He said the senator had claimed the result was issued by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), where he awarded himself C4 in English Literature, P7 in English Language and Christian Religious Knowledge, C4 in Economics and Physics, C6 in Mathematics, Statistics and Chemistry.
"It is worthy of note, that Uba did subsequently presented the forged results as a true representation of his results to INEC, as a perquisite to contest election into the Senate, where He currently represents the people of Anambra South Senatorial District.
"By this action, Senator Andy Uba have deliberately contravened Section 463 of the Criminal Code (which provides for three years' imprisonment), Sections 362 to 364 of the Penal Code, which stipulate 14 years' imprisonment with an option of fine or both," the groups said.
The group also called for the immediate refund of tax payers money which was automatically received fraudulently by Senator Uba throughout his stay as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The groups also gave the relevant agencies a seven day ultimatum to arrest Uba and prosecute him or face the consequences.
"We shall not hesitate to employ every legal means, including massive protests to the National Assembly, the headquarters of both the Nigerian Police and the Department of State services, EFCC and ICPC headquarters, to further press home our demand, should they refuse to heed our call as key stakeholders in the Nigeria Project.
It is our hope that the incumbent administration, particularly the leadership of the Nigerian Senate, will not hide under the recent dubious defection of Senator Uba, to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), to unduly shield Mr. Uba from facing the inevitable prosecution, over this forgery scandal.
Finally, we want to strongly believe, that Senator Andy Uba will be arrested within the next seven days of our ultimatum, to answer to these allegations and subsequently charged to court appropriately following our request," the group added.
