A man who was alleged to be a hired assassin and sent from Sapele in Delta state to kill a boutique owner in the Jakande area of Lagos state, was caught, stripped, beaten up by angry local residents
The suspect narrowly escaped getting burnt alive thanks to Police intervention.
Eyewitnesses narrated how the alleged assassin bit his victim and then tried to strangle her, but she was able to scream and call out for help from neighbours who arrived just in time to apprehended the attacker.
The woman has been taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.
"He bite her. He wan kill am. He wan strangle am. She don go hospital. She get injury," one of the men surrounding the n*ked suspect can be heard telling a police man who requested to know where the victim was.
