He reportedly insisted that except a referendum was conducted in Nigeria, the country will continue to witness agitations in many quarters.

He also expressed hope that the visit would bring a permanent solution to the current problems in the country.

According to him, the current agitation would have been averted if not for the constant neglects meted out to some ethnic nationals in Nigeria.

He said these neglects ranged from appointments, employments and sharing formula among others adding that Ndigbo have always been victims of unrest in the north despite their enormous efforts to develop the region.

He urged Acting President Yemi Osibanjo to convene a youth conference to address what he called an ugly menace.

We had earlier reported that presidential hopeful and former governor of Kano, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, is currently being bashed for opposing the call for the arrest of the northern youths who issued a three-month notice to Igbo people living in the region.

Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna state had ordered that the youths be arrested.

Up till now, this has not been done. On Thursday, June 22 in Abuja, Kwankwaso reportedly declared his opposition the call for the arrest of the youths.

Instead, he urged that the youths should be engaged in dialogue.
