The self-acclaimed Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has said that alleged plans to islamize Nigeria by the Northerners will not come to fruition in his lifetime .
He made the statement while speaking to a crowd in Nri, the ancestral home of Igbo in Anambra State.
The IPOB Leader said the alleged plot was real, but the “evil agenda” won’t be able to be achieved in his life time.
Kanu’s reaction follows statement by Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer (GO) of Living Faith Church, that “Islamists are bent on Islamizing Nigeria.”

Kanu said: “The Islamisation plot is real but they won’t succeed in my life time. No, never; not when I am alive.
“The struggle for Biafra which I proudly lead is not a secessionist aspiration of Ndi-Igbo only as some erroneously think.
“Biafra is not just a living agitation but a fight for the survival of Christians in Nigeria against the entrenched threats of radical Islamic fundamentalists and their political collaborators within and outside Nigeria.”
