- The governor said he is not clueless and declined to debate with the senator
The Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai has once again replied Senator Ben Bruce Murray that the credit for the Abuja Light Rail goes to the Obasanjo's administration and not the Goodluck Jonathan's as claimed by the senator.
Trouble started when the senator, in a tweet on Thursday, January 4, said he hoped President Buhari will acknowledge Jonathan's effort in Nigeria's railway system, but Governor El-Rufai said the Abuja Light Rail was abandoned by the last two administrations before President Muhammadu Buhari.

Angry at this, the senator invited the governor for a debate, but Governor El-Rufai in a tweet refused the invitation to debate with the governor.
El-Rufai, in a counter-tweet to the Senator's statement said: “Facts cannot be debated. Opinions are free. While the Obasanjo administration was conceiving the rail modernization programme, Sen Ben-Bruce was organizing beauty contests and Jonathan was a deputy governor. I am not cluelessly common-sensical!”

We previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, January 4, arrived the Rigasa train station in Kaduna state.
The president commissioned 10 new coaches and two locomotives for Abuja-Kaduna standard gauge rail lines in Rigasa, Kaduna state.
The additional coaches and locomotives are expected to ease the plight of passengers on the route.
