Man nabbed over  wristwatch theft at Ushafa

A 29-year-old man was on Sunday arrested by the police in Dutse for allegedly stealing a wristwatch and other household items in Ushafa, in Bwari Area Council of the FCT.                                                                                                    
 The suspect, Dan-idi Danjuma of Gwagwa, was intercepted while conveying the stolen items from Ushafa to his residence in Tasha, Gwagwa in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

City News gathered from police source that the suspect had gone to the place around 10.00a.m. and broken into one of the apartments whose owner had gone to church.

“He succeeded in gaining access to the house where he stole Plasma television, Strong decoder, wristwatch and itel phone,” the source said.
The source also said the suspect packed the items in a sack and boarded a motorcycle heading towards the park, but was intercepted by police surveillance team at Dutse junction, along Abuja-Kubwa expressway.

When contacted, Dutse Divisional Police Officer, CSP Hajiya Aisha Yusuf, confirmed the arrest, saying the suspect would soon be charged to court for house breaking and theft.
