Breaking: Reps Minority Leader, Leo Ogor Resumes Plenary After 6-Month Absence

Following his long absence from the National Assembly, Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Honourable Leo Okuweh Ogor, has resumed plenary in the House.

Ogor, who has been away from the House since July 2017 for medical reasons, was seen walking into the Green Chambers in company of many colleagues and aides.

Representing Isoko Federal Constituency of Delta State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ogor’s role in rallying PDP lawmakers against the whims of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), led to the emergence of the current Speaker, Yakubu Dogara on June 9, 2015.

Making his way into the Green Chamber on Thursday, Ogor was received by his colleagues across party lines with a rousing welcome, with many standing on their feet in applause.
