A Constitutional Lawyer and former Associate Deputy U.S. Attorney General, Atty Bruce Fein, Esq, made the statement on the possible repercussions for the justices of Nigeria for their decision of January 14 which he describes as “fragrantly fraudulent and issued in bad faith” in a video which has gone viral in twitter and viewed by ThenigeriaLawyer (TNL).

That it is in contravention of internationally recognized fundamental human right to self-government to participate in elections that are freely and fairly conducted.
He said further “We have in the United States a recent law called the Global Magnates in Human Rights Accountability Act and it does empower the president, at the request of secretary of states and various committee chairmen in the Congress to list persons abroad to be denied visas, have their assets frozen and be excluded from coming to the United States if they are complicit in internationally recognized rights human violations. Judges and justices are not shielded from that particular law.”
He warns therefore that if the decision of the Supreme Court “flagrantly tainted” is not reversed, it could impact not only the seven justices who sat on a particular case, but the entire contingent of the Supreme Court, the whole institution, has shown it is corrupted and compromised.
He also said that international investigation could be made under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court for deprivation of the right to self-determination
