London Zoo Up In Flames As 70 Firefighters Tackle Blaze

The London Zoo has been gutted by fire just two nights before Christmas, with the London Fire Brigade (LFB) on the scene with about 70 firefighters working to put out the blaze.

The LFB said it was called to the incident at 6.08am, and fire crews from Kentish Town, Paddington, Euston, West Hampstead and other surrounding stations have also arrived on the scene.

The fire service also stated that this morning that around 70 firefighters added that ten fire engines were on the scene, and that approximately half of an adventure cafe and shop – which also contains an – was alight.

It said it did not yet know whether any animals had been harmed.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
