Ex-governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi
The Minister of Solid Minerals and ex-Governorof Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has said the sudden demise of a first class
traditional ruler and Onisan of Isan Ekiti, Oba Sunday Ajiboye, will create a big vacuum in the kingdom that will be difficult to fill.
Fayemi hails from Isan Ekiti in Oye Local Government area of the State.
Oba Ajiboye died eight days ago after he reportedly suffered a sudden heart-related attack and efforts to revive him through medical
means proved futile.
The Minister , who spoke in Isan Ekiti Sarurday, said he felt a great sense of deep personal loss about Oba Ajiboye’s demise, and described the departed monarch as a lover of development, who was incurably committed to the progress of Isan Ekiti kingdom during his lifetime.
Fayemi assured that the town would strive hard to build on the legacies of unity and development left behind by the late monarch .
