A TRAGIC bride-to-be died after flying to Mauritius for her fairytale wedding.
Gillian Stirzaker fell ill miles from the nearest hospital on the luxury Indian Ocean island and passed away earlier this month.
Friends, former students and ex-colleagues paid tribute to the dance teacher on social media.
Dawn Dawson, academy principal at Dawn Dawson’s Academy of Dance and Stage, where Gill worked, spoke out about the loss.
She said: “It’s quite tragic. Gill worked for me for more than 20 years. She was a special lady.
“She came to me from leaving college and started teaching for me. She was very well likely by all the children and has a very good history of training students for their exam.”
Sunshine Dance Studios, based in Newport Street in Bolton Town centre, posted on Facebook: “We are very sad to hear Miss GIll has sadly passed away while on holiday
