I have never believed in corruption in my life – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buari has stated that his government would not go after anybody who has not touched the nation’s treasury.

Buhari said, as a man known for integrity, he will not persecute anybody who is not corrupt.

The President gave this assurance while addressing staff of the state house on Wednesday.

He warned public office holders to be of good behaviour while in office.

He said, “Earlier today, I met with and addressed staff of the State House. It was an opportunity to remind them of my commitment to leading Nigeria with integrity and commitment to improving lives of ordinary Nigerians.

“I have never in my life believed in corruption. If we make any mistake and compromise our integrity, Nigeria will be further dragged back.

“We will not touch anybody that did not touch public funds. If you behave yourself, you’ll sleep soundly, your families will enjoy respect.

“But if you short-change the treasury, you will be caught and you’ll have your day in court.”
