Reports from Edo State reveal the former Accord Party gubernatorial candidate in the State, Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki has been physically assaulted by miscreants.
In what seems like a botched assassination attempt in Edo State, some faceless hoodlums attacked Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki yesterday evening.
According to reports, he fortunately managed to escape the attack.
The miscreantswere said to have beat up Obaseki's Personal assistant, Mr. Ferdinand Orumwense severely causing an injury to his head.

There is no official statement yet from Obaseki who defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Accord Party after losing the governorship primaries to his cousin brother, Godwin Obaseki.
He later pledged loyalty to the People's Democratic Party gubernatorial flagbearer, Pastor Iyze Iyanmu against the interest of his cousin.
