Naira appreciates further to 455/per dollar

The naira on Monday appreciated further following the Central Bank of Nigeria’s approval of dollar sale to Bureau De Change operators.

The CBN has approved First Bank of Nigeria Limited and Travelex, a global foreign exchange company, to commence sale of dollars to the BDC operators.

The currency was quoted 455 to the dollar at the Parallel market as at 1:30pm on Monday from the N460 it opened the day's trading.

Meanwhile, it remained steady at 307.77/dollar on the official interbank window, according to FMDQ forex platform.
