The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee has announced the names of 91 legal practitioners who is it considering for admission into the rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria for 2017.
The Secretary of the LPPC, Ahmed Saleh, who is also the Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, announced in an advertorial on Wednesday that the 67 shortlisted lawyers and 24 Academicians have scaled through the first and second filtration processes towards the award of the SAN rank.

Saleh said the LPPC welcomes comments from the public as regards the integrity and competence of the shortlisted candidates.
He said any member of the public who has any complaint about any of the shortlisted lawyers must file same before the LPPC not later than June 5, 2017, adding that such a complaint must be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to before a court of record in Nigeria
