The call was made by the duo of the National Coordinator; Otunba Adeleye Akintola and National Publicity Secretary of the Foundation; Comrade Adeboye Adebayo in Osogbo on Thursday after a rally to solidarise with the All Progressives Congress Candidates standing for elections at the local government elections holding in the State of Osun on Satuarday.
According to them, the remaining months of the tenure of Mr. President should be full of proactive actions that will practically change the fortune of Nigerians. It is obvious that Nigerians are expecting more than what's presently on ground .
“For us in the AGF, we believe that the remaining months in the tenure of President Buhari is enough to make some desirable changes in the life of Nigerians and I want to advise that he looks into the direction of overhauling his cabinets by retiring some old hands and bring fresh bloods full of ideas and eagerness to make lofty change.
The President must always always carry the All Progressive party executives and members along in all his political decisions. The recent outbursts from Nigerians have no party colouration as many APC members who disagree with the non partisanship nature of the President and his government also join the critics .
It is clear that the people are not satisfied with the performances of Mr. President at the moment, hence drastic actions must be taken to address the trend” Adeleye noted.
On his part, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo corroborated the stand of his Coordinator, saying that jobs needs to be done and proactive actions need to be taken.
“I believe most of the cabinets members have defeated the agenda of Buhari's administration by their actions or inactions, despite trillions of naira being budgeted yearly, economy has not been successfully diversified, no stable power, we have not been able to exploit any mineral resources for our economic development, youths unemployment is on the high side, a lot of people who wants to farm has no access to the much touted agric funds, everything seems to be on paper” Adebayo lamented.
The Foundation through its National Coordinator then urged the people of the State of Osun to vote for the Candidates of APC at the Osun LG polls on Saturday so that they will continue to enjoy the dividends of democracy and infrastructure development as being provided by Ogbeni Aregbesola's led administration.
