This strategy entails building alliances with other parties and Nigerians including those who have dumped the party and are desirous of rescuing the country from sustained “mismanagement” by the current administration.

This was contained in the report of the reconciliation committee submitted to the National Working Committee, NWC, led by the national chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja.
The committee, which described the PDP as the most democratic party in the country as well as the most women-friendly, advised the NWC to deliberately cultivate women and assure them that party doors shall remain open for them at all levels of the PDP.
Part of the report reads, “The committee is of the view that the PDP should lead a broad-based coalition to wrest power from the APC in order to salvage Nigeria from further ruin.

It recommended that the party should build alliances and establish inter- personal contacts with everyone, including those that have either left or abandoned the party. This desire for the broad-based coalition should be open to everyone who intends to salvage the country from the present mismanagement of the ruling party.”
DAILY POST recalls that former chairman of the PDP national caretaker committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi had stated that the opposition party is working towards reclaiming power in 2019, but would not reveal its strategy.
