Senate Suspends Plenary to Visit Dino at Intensive Care Unit, National Hospital

Senate on Wednesday suspended plenary to visit Senator Dino Melaye who was reported to be admitted at the intensive care unit  of the national hospital.

We recall that shortly after the motion for suspension of plenary to enable senators visit Dino was passed, Senate Deputy leader, Senator Bala Ibn N’Allah, who had already been sent by the Senate to find out the whereabouts and condition of the senator came in.

Senator Bala while briefing the senate said they were barred from seeing Senstor Dino Melaye.

According to him, “ Those who refused them access to Senator Dino Melaye said it was “instruction from above” not to allow anybody to see the embattled senator”, adding that they were informed that only Senators Abu Ibrahim and Senator Kaka that are permitted to see him

Earlier, President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, revealed that all his efforts to ascertain what is going on about Dino issue with the police have not yielded result as he has not been able to get across to the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris in the last 24 hours.
