Fayemi speaks on Ekiti APC primary

Former Ekiti State Governor and governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Kayode Fayemi, has said he is not bothered about the conspiracy of some aspirants against him.

Fayemi stated this during the ongoing governorship primary holding at Damlek Event Centre, Ado Ekiti, in a chat with News Agency of Nigeria.

He said, “It is a competition; people devise all sorts of means when they are in a competition. What is important is that after the exercise whoever emerges winner will be the candidate of the party’s and to my expectation, all of us will embrace whoever that person is.

“The exercise was better than that of last week, It is a much better arrangement, it is orderly, the instructions are clear, there is no rowdiness in any part of the exercise.

”I can see that delegates from the 11 local government h‎ave cast their votes and there was no fraudulent acts or riot, everything is going on smoothly.

“I will give a comprehensive reaction at the end of the election and whoever emerges as the flag bearer of the party will be given maximum support from other aspirants.

”As at this moment, I could say that the voting exercise has been credible. The committee has done an incredibly good job and the security is also tight. People who have no business are not allowed in. In all these, so far so good. But we can’t reach a conclusion until after the whole exercise”, Fayemi said.
