Ujuayalogu'sBlog previously reported that President Buhari, on Thursday, June 21, insisted that his government had successfully degraded the terrorist group, Boko Haram, and that the latter is no longer holding any part of the country as its territory.

Before 2015, the sect had held some parts of the north-eastern Nigeria hostage destroying communities and taking over villages as their caliphates.

But Buhari said this is no longer the case three years into his administration.

The president stated this in Abuja, the nation’s capital, at the 2018 World Congress of the International Press Institute.
