New Telegraph said a source at the meeting revealed that Saraki was presented with the offer to choose any position of his choice in the future APC government, but he declined.

“He told them that he has been humiliated and dehumanised by the party in the past three years, and that their intervention was too late,” the source revealed.

Going further, the source was reported to have recalled that the Senate president was arraigned before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) and put in the dock like a common criminal.

“As if that was not enough, the Inspector- General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, said Saraki and Governor Abdufatah Ahmed of Kwara provided arms for armed robbers who robbed banks in Offa. He was invited to force headquarters to make a statement. Are these not humiliation enough? “And now, they are begging him not to leave APC because the president is interested in second term,” he noted.
