The former minister of environment, Chief John Omar Odey is dead. He died in the early hours of Sunday in a Dubai hospital where he is receiving treatment on a cancer-related illness.
A close brother and friends, Prince Offiono Akwaji (Akwase), the CEO of Loaded Global Limited confirmed the incidence to our correspondent in a telephone conversation.
He was a former minister of information and a former national publicity secretary of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He was also a one time Cross River State Commissioner for agriculture and former state treasurer of the PDP.
