When it comes to academic institutions that prey on the vulnerability of parents who wish to give their children sound education, Madonna University may rank top in Nigeria.
This Rev. Father Edeh privately-owned institution over the years have always come up with a self-styled strategy to milk parents or sponsors dry not minding the economic situation in the country with the recent a ruthless communique that will make the university’s treasury larger as schools across the country plan to re-open.

According to the new directive which will be effective from September 30th 2020, all students are mandated to pay the sum of N25,000 (Twenty Five Thousand Naira) on arrival at the three campuses operated by the University in the country.
With an estimated number of eight thousand students, the religious school will be racking in at least 250million Naira per campus, and a jaw-dropping N650millon in total from the three campuses for the levy which they artfully dubbed “University Access Protocol Fee”.
Coming on the heels of the Covid-19 pandemic which has ravaged the country leaving many families grappling for survival as most breadwinners no longer have a viable source of income, many Nigerians especially parents have condemned the act calling it daylight extortion after struggling to pay the astronomical tuition fees which the University is known for.
