Five persons, including a retired Assistant Comptroller-General of Immigration, Abdulahi Rakieu, have been abducted in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Four were kidnapped from the Tungan Maje area of territory while one was abducted from Pegi in the Kuje area.
Three persons were shot by the attackers.
The kidnappers reportedly raided the victims’ houses and whisked them away.
The attacks happened at the weekend, it was learnt.
The Pegi attack took place when the victims were on their way home around 8:30pm.
Police spokesperson Mariam Yusuf said the Command has launched a strategic counter-kidnapping operation to check the security concerns.
