Richard Mofe Damijo, one of Nigeria's most admired actors who is also known as RMD recently debuted his new look on social media to celebrate ahead of his 60th birthday.
The movie star took to his verified Instagram page to share series of photos of himself wearing earrings and explained that he had always wanted to do it.
According to him, he finds wearing the accessory cool and that he wanted to do it 10 years ago when he was turning 50. RMD said he only decided against it because he didn’t know how the people of Delta state would feel about a commissioner wearing earrings.
The veteran actor said he is turning 60 in a few weeks and has now grown wings and can do whatever he likes.
In his words: "I’ve always wanted to wear an earring for some time now. I personally think they are so cool if you find the right one.
"When I was turning 50 I had threatened to wear one but I wasn’t too sure how the people of Delta state would feel about an earring wearing commissioner.
"10 years later I still want to wear it. I will.
"I will be 60 in a few weeks, and I have grown wings.
"I’m in my house if you have a problem you know where to find me."
