Goodwill has continued to pour in for the chairman of SLOK Group and former governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, in support of his quest to represent Abia North Senatorial Zone in the Senate, following the Appeal Court decision, which nullified the purported election of Mr. Mao Ohuabunwa, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, during the March 28, 2015, National Assembly poll and ordered for a re-run election.
In a personal letter to Kalu, a native of Ezinifite Town in Nnewi South LGA Anambra State, who is based in Makurdi, Benue State, Prince Romanus Arinze, congratulated him for the Appeal Court victory.
He said: “By that exercise, the Lord has vindicated you and set your feet on the verge of reclaiming the mandate your people gave to you on March 28th 2015 elections which was falsely taken away from you. Indeed justice can be delayed but cannot be denied.
Arinze described Kalu as not only a selfless politician, but a nation builder, who ought to be given the opportunity at the national level to help in reshaping the fortunes of the nation.
He praised Kalu for remaining resolute in pursuing his stolen mandate, adding, “Hope is beckoning on you to recover your mandate. God will see you through.”
Arinze stated some of Kalu’s milestone achievements during his eight-year tenure as governor of Abia State, and stressed that the state witnessed tremendous transformations in all ramifications.
“Enyimba Football Club of Aba achieved a feat that no club side had ever achieved in Nigeria. It became a household name not only in Nigeria but in Africa and beyond.
Your strong desire to impact positively on your generation propelled you to vie for the FIFA top position (FIFA president). Thousands of people are on the payroll of your private ventures.
You are a divine gift to our generation,” Arinze said.
He prayed that the Almighty God would grant Kalu victory in the forthcoming re-run election for the Abia North senatorial zon, stating that the former governor had a lot to contribute at the National Assembly that would impact positively to nation-building efforts given that the senatorial candidate is a selfless leader and politician.
