It’s gathered that the woman is already six months pregnant and it’s even a drunken sexual assault but the pair are reportedly in love with each other. They even plan to make their love official. Twelve years ago, Betty lost Farai’s father and now claims she and her son have been dating for about 3 years now before the leaders in the community found out.
The woman shockingly admitted that rather than get married to any of her late husband’s younger brothers, she would get married to her son. Farai then added: “I know my father died before he finished paying the bride price
and I am prepared to pay it off. It is better to publicise what is happening because people should know that I am the one who made my mother pregnant, otherwise they will accuse her of promiscuity.”
Nathan Muputirwa, a local village head, said: “We cannot allow this to happen in our village, as it is a bad omen. In the past they would have to be killed but today we cannot do it because we are afraid of the police.”
