Residents of Ikorodu have been put on red alert to be extremely cautious as a serious ethnic fight is taking place at Mile 12, Ikorodu causing heavy traffic.
A serious riot has erupted at Mile 12 Ikorodu where an alleged ethnic fight is going on. It is alleged that some Hausa traders have engaged some locals in a serious clash with casualties recorded and vehicles vandalized.
The police are already in the area to forestall any escalation of the situation. It was learnt that the chaos caused heavy traffic along the Ikorodu-Mile 12 road. People are advised to approach the area with caution as some of those involved in the clash might be wielding dangerous weapons.
