Governor Ortom appoints Bem Meladu as new acting SSG

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has announced the appointment of an acting Secretary to the State Government.

The new acting SSG is Dr Bem Meladu, the Special Adviser to the governor on Economic Development.

Meladu’s appointment follows the illness of the substantive SSG, Targema Takema, who last week Thursday slumped due to alleged brain tumour.

Confirming Meladu’s appointment, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Terver Akase however, refuted speculations that the SSG who was alleged to have been air-lifted in a NEMA helicopter had passed on.
