The facility is also stocked with over 30 tonnes of feed concentrates, machines for making feeds and grass seeds for producing pasture.

The Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, who made the disclosure this when the minister of agriculture and rural development, Audu Ogbeh presented farm implements and items to the force in Abuja, said the army is planning to replicate the facility at all its formations across the country.

He stated that the efforts of the federal government at achieving national security, including the fight against insurgency in the northeast, would be meaningless without food security.

According to him, the army is going beyond carrying arms in the affected areas to ensure security, they are playing active role in supporting the nation’s agriculture potential.
