Festus Pemu, the founder of Festus Pemu Initiative for Social Development and Peace Building in Sapele, Delta State, has declared his support for the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, saying that the governor’s return to Government House in 2019 is non-negotiable.
Pemu, who was hosting members of his group, The Pemu Crusaders, a pressure group with over 1,000 members, in appreciation of their support at the last local government election, in Sapele, Delta, State, also called on well-meaning Deltans to support the governor, insisting that Okowa has delivered on his promises.

“The governor has done so much for us, and for a long time we have not seen a performing governor like Okowa. The infrastructural development across the state is a testimony of how we have done well by voting him. Now let’s do it again,” he said amid applause from supporters.
Pemu, who contested at the last Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) local government chairmanship primaries, also added that elections were neither won on the pages of newspaper nor social media.
“Elections are won on the field, so those who don’t have voters card now, go get yours. I will provide transport and all the necessary logistics. Get your voters card ready, and let’s vote the governor again in 2019.
“Move from house to house, just as you did for Eugene Inoaghan; our mission is to deliver all PDP aspirants, from the House of Assembly to the top. Okowa’s return is not negotiable,” he added.
The occasion was attended by dignitaries, including ward leaders of Pemu Crusaders across the 20 wards of the local government area.
