The Governor of Kogi state has been criticized by Femi Fani-Kayode over comments he made that he would gladly jump into fire if Buhari asks him to.
A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode did not hold back as he lambasted the Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello over his declaration of loyalty to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The outspoken chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party attacked Bello over his comment that he would jump into fire if president Buhari asked him to do so.

Mr Fani-Kayode wrote: “If President Buhari asks me to jump into fire, I will not hesitate to jump into it”
“Gov. Yahaya Bello When I wrote that this boy was a useful idiot and an accursed slave some said I was being harsh.
“Truth is that he is worse than that. His mental faculties are non-functional,” he concluded.
Mr Bello, while reacting to President Buhari’s decision against the tenure elongation of national chairman, John Oyegun and other executives of the All Progressives Congress, APC, had earlier said he would go to any length for Mr Buhari if he so requested.
“I am an ardent supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari, who has said that we must stick to the 1999 Constitution and APC Constitution. If Buhari asks me to jump into fire, I will not hesitate to jump into it.”
Speaking on why he earlier backed Chief John Oyegun on his tenure elongation, Mr Bello said:
“They are saying that I have problem with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu; that is why I supported tenure elongation.
“I have no problem with Asiwaju, he is my leader. And President Buhari is the leader of all. I was supporting you (Oyegun and NWC) but we have to hold National Convention.”
