Davido reacts as his slang “E Choke” goes international

Nigerian artist, record label producer, and songwriter Davido is mostly known for his popular slangs which used widely by many. Davido has been able to generate about three popular slangs in Nigeria which are being used by many, especially on social media.

It seems that the 30 billion geng boss hardly runs out of words and slang as he keeps entertaining his fans and the general public with his amusing self and his slang. David has been able to generate a few slangs like Tule, E Choke, and who dey breet.

The first slang Davido brought to life was “E Choke”. The slang ”E Choke” literally means to get choked. Tule is Yuroba’s word that means “to release”, “set free” and “unpack”. The third slang created by Davido is “Who dey breet”. This slang also literary means that who is breathing.

It appears the international community has accepted the slang produced by Davido as the slang has been used on one of their placards during an event. E Choke was used as the entry term at a club in the United States.

Music executive, Bizzle Osikoya recently took to his Twitter page to reveal how far the slang has traveled. Bizzle shared a photo of some female attendants who were carrying a signboard with the phrase boldly inscribed on it. He captioned his post, “Yankee has caught the bug”.

Davido has taken to his page to retweet the post from Bizzle on his page.
