The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of deliberately joining the side of Palestine in their war with Israel.
According to Daramola Joseph, the National Secretary, millions of Nigerian Christians are in support of Israel against the position of the government and besides Nigeria is a secular state and not a Muslim nation.
The statement read: “We are worried that Nigeria which was wrongly labelled an Islamic State because of her unlawful membership of the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC) has been taking side with the Palestinians since the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari.
“On behalf of every Nigerian Christian, we call on the Federal government to reverse itself on the support that has been given to the Palestinians to date.
“For the record, millions of Nigerian Christians are in support of Israel against the position of the government.“We see no reason why Nigeria should take side with either of the warring factions”, the statement added.
In a related development, actress Georgina Onuoha has lashed out at Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyanhu for his atrocities against the people of Palestine.
According to the actress, Until you begin to see the cruelty and inhumanity Israel is engaged in towards Palestinians beyond religion, you will continue to support evil. Taking to her Instagram page, she criticized Israel for its heavy handed approach.

Condemning the atrocities being committed by the Israeli government under Benjamin Netanyahu is not antisemitic.

Many Israelis are Arabs, Christians, Muslims and other religions.

Israel is taking more than what the United Nations gave it in 1947.
They are engaged in cleanings of the Palestinian people.
Basing your support for Israel solely on religion is the greatest fallacy of our time.
Yes Israel has right to defend it’s people as it should, so also does the Palestinian people have the right to exist and live as an independent people and nation.
When you chase people to the wall and they have no place to run to, they will turn around and confront you with whichever means they have.
Sadly, Israel actions fuels terrorism in Palestine. And Iran is the only one benefiting from this unnecessary and senseless killings from both Hamas and Israel.
I condemn Hamas using Palestinians as shields and I condemn Israel for this apartheid and genocide.
